The BERTSCHAT® Cooling Vest PRO is equipped with the latest developments from the cooling world. The cooling elements are even more comfortable and located at tactical cooling points, so you can move even easier during your work or activities. The cooling vest ensures your body will always stay at the right temperature.

Phase Change Material (PCM):

The cooling elements of the cooling vest are filled with Phase Change Material (PCM). PCM temporarily stores heat or cold. As it absorbs heat from the environment the material melts and cools down the surroundings. If the temperature falls, the material solidifies again by giving off heat to the surroundings.

New dynamic design

The cooling element is divided into 8 compartments. The new design offers perfect wearing comfort so you can move freely during work and activities. As the cooling vest is adjustable at the shoulders and on the side, it will fit every size.

Cooling elements

The cooling vest comes standard with cooling elements of your choice: the C15, C24, or C28. Each element comes with its own unique features.

C15: These are the coldest with an average temperature of 15 degrees centigrade, which also means that they are the quickest to melt. The cooling period is 2 to 4 hours. Perfect for factory workers. The elements are easy to reactivate during a break by putting them in a fridge or freezer.
C24: These elements are perfect for cyclists, hikers and bikers (most popular). These elements last just a bit longer than the C15 and will maintain the temperature at about 24 degrees centigrade.
C28: In case you’d like to cool down for a whole day, we would advise the C28. The average cooling period on one charge is 2 to 8 hours.

really cool idea

it is ideal that the vest is adjustable. this allows it to be worn by several people. the four elements provide fantastic cooling. at least enough to work in a 40°C engine room

To be absolutely clear the Bertschat cooling vest really does work, with its 2 cooling pack pockets at the rear and 2 in the front.
The cooling period does depend on the ambient temperature, and as a layman I was initially unaware of this. But after telephone contact, this was clear and I was able to purchase additional cooling elements. So that I can work longer (machine mechanic)

Great purchase

Am factory worker and exposed to high temperatures daily. Vest provides adequate cooling and cools an entire shift (2 hours). Then easily reactivated in refrigerator.

Works surprisingly well

I live in an end-unit townhouse that gets very warm in the summer. The outdoor AC unit is an old one that still works but probably not for long given its age. I bought this vest to try to find another way to keep cool so I don't have to use the AC, and I am very pleased with how well it works. I hardly sweat while wearing it, but when not wearing it I'm constantly sweating. Currently the indoor temp is 30 and I'm very comfortable with the vest on.

This cooling vest works fairly well

I have severe heat intolerance and needed this vest for walking my dog in the heat. .You also need to pull the side straps tight so that the ice packs are right against your body. It definitely does help keep my overall temperature down by cooling my core. I would recommend it for folks who need something to cool down with.
